I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Johnson C. Smith University where I studied Visual and performing arts with a focus on the graphic arts. I have a strong interest in visual storytelling, branding, illustration, and understanding the details that makeup the personality and values of brands and businesses.

I got my start as a designer in the journalism industry where I designed 2-3 newspapers daily that informed and told the stories of local communities nation wide. During my time as a newspage designer I learned how to manage multiple projects with hard deadlines and how to effectively work with various editors and teams across the US. Through the repetitive nature of news paper design I learned how to provide a consistent and recognizable brand experience for customers.

Outside of work I like to experiment with personal projects that usually involve some form of illustration, photography or other hands on work. Occasionally I also write a personal lifestyle blog where I document my creative experiments and share bits of my life through photography.
